Each booking comes with 4 of the following microphones:
We have 2 x Sony A6400 DSLR cameras
Podcasts are recorded onto a Zoom H6 recorder
The studio comes with 2x Led constant softbox lights
Our studios are designed to be self serve, therefore we have made the recording process as simple as possible.
However a sound engineer or videographer can be added to your booking to ensure everything runs smoothly. These can be added to your booking from £20 per hour.
Without a sound engineer or videographer you are taking full responsibility of the recording process and its on you to ensure everything is running smoothly. You will be provided with earphones to monitor the recording, plus a member of staff is on site to flag any issues/concerns.
An experienced member of staff is always on site during your booking. On your first booking we strongly recommend to arrive 15 minutes before your booking. The staff member will set up and show you how to use the recording equipment as well as instruct you on how to get the best quality recording.
Your podcast audio file is recorded onto an SD card. After your session the audio file can either be transferred to your laptop or the files can be sent via email for a fee of £9.99.
For fast turnarounds we strongly suggest you bring an SD card.
We have 6 microphones and can record up to 6 people in a recording. A standard booking comes with 4 microphones, additional microphones can be added for an additional fee of £5 each
We do indeed have cameras at our studio. Vodcast bookings come with 2 x DSLR cameras
Of course! you are more than welcome to bring your own equipment, whether that’s cameras, microphones or your very own engineers and videographers.
We encourage creativity at Outset Studio, and therefore we are delighted to see creatives transform the space to meet their vision.
Your podcast will be recorded onto a Zoom H6. Each microphone records it’s own separate track making it easier to edit group conversations.
The files are saved as .WAV format, resulting in high quality sound which is also easier to edit

Editing rates are discounted if booked alongside a studio session.
Post recording the raw audio files will be sent across for you to listen too.
You will be sent across a live doc in which you list the edits and adjustments you would like to make to the audio
From that point our editors will make the specified adjustments + more to the audio
4-5 working days is our editing turnaround time.
2-3 day turnaround is available at an additional fee of £20 per episode
