What if I've never recorded a podcast before?
Every session starts with a full studio walkthrough. We cover microphone levels, headphone monitoring, camera framing, and recording software. You don't need any technical knowledge. Walk in, sit down, and start. Add a studio engineer at £24/hr for hands-on support throughout your session.
Do I need to bring any equipment?
Nothing. The studio is fully equipped with RØDE Procaster microphones, stands, headphones, Sony FX-30 4K cameras, and Falconeyes LED lighting. Recording software is included. Just bring your guest and your questions.
How does Manchester differ from the London studios?
At 800 sqft, Manchester is the largest single studio in the Outset network. It is better suited to panels, larger productions, and teams who need more space than the London Bridge or Shoreditch rooms. The equipment spec is the same across all locations, so the workflow is identical whichever city you record in.
Can I get the footage edited after the session?
Yes. Outset offers full post-production services including episode editing, audio cleaning, social cuts, audiograms, and transcript captions. Raw audio and video files are always included as standard with every session.
Can I batch record multiple episodes in one day?
Yes. Most teams allow around 1.5 hours per episode to give time for setup, recording, and resets between guests. Two to three episodes in a day is very manageable and the 800 sqft space makes changeovers between setups straightforward.
Can remote guests join the session?
Yes. The studio supports remote contributors via Riverside, Zoom, or any similar platform. Let us know when booking and we will ensure everything is configured before your session starts.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes. Book 10 hours in advance and receive 5% off. Book 20 or more hours in advance and receive 10% off. Ideal for recurring series or brand teams recording across multiple sessions. Get in touch to arrange a package.
How close is the studio to Piccadilly Station?
Fourways House on Hilton Street is a 7-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. Piccadilly Gardens Metrolink stop is 5 minutes on foot. NCP car parks are within a 5-minute walk and the building has full step-free access throughout. The studio is well placed for clients travelling from across Greater Manchester and beyond.
