At Outset, you can reschedule or cancel free of charge with 7 or more days' notice, choosing either a full refund or a credit. Within 7 days, bookings cannot be moved, cancelled or refunded, unless you added the Make It Flexible option when you booked.
Here is exactly how booking changes, refunds and credits work.
With at least 7 days' notice, you have full flexibility. You can move your session to another date at no cost, as many times as you need. Guest schedules change, and we would rather you record when it genuinely suits you, so there is no limit and no fee for rescheduling this far ahead.
If you would prefer not to rebook straight away, you can cancel instead and choose either a full refund or a credit towards a future session, whichever is more useful to you.
Once you are inside the 7 days before your session, the booking cannot be moved, cancelled or refunded. The studio has been held for you and cannot be filled at short notice, so the session stands as booked.
The one exception is if you added Make It Flexible when you booked, which lets you move the session up to 3 hours before your start time. Without it, any change inside 7 days is entirely at our discretion and cannot be guaranteed. If your plans are uncertain, the reliable way to keep your options open is to add Make It Flexible at the point of booking.
Make It Flexible is an optional extra you can add when you book, from £55 per session. It lets you move your booking once, right up to 3 hours before your start time, which is ideal when you are recording with guests whose schedules can shift late in the day.
It covers rescheduling rather than cancellation, so instead of a refund, you keep the full value of your session and record it on a different date. If there is any chance your date might move, adding it at the point of booking is the simplest way to protect yourself.
If you do not arrive for a booked session, it will be counted as used. If you arrive late, your session still ends at its originally booked finish time, because the studio and any team you have booked are scheduled around that slot.
Arrive around 10 minutes early and flag anything unusual in your booking notes in advance. It is the simplest way to protect your full recording time.
It is very rare for us to need to change a booking at our end, but if it ever happens, you are covered. If we have to cancel, you can choose a full refund or reschedule to a date that works for you. If we need to move your session rather than cancel it, we will usually add a credit or extra session time to make up for the inconvenience.
