Full production is a fully guided session where our team runs everything, and you leave with an edit-ready episode, from £200 per hour.

Dry hire means hiring the room and furniture alone and bringing your own equipment. It suits established teams who already have their own cameras, microphones, and often their own crew, and simply need a professional space to record in.
At Outset, the way to book this is our audio-only rate from £84 per hour. It includes the studio, the furniture and our broadcast audio equipment and lighting, but if you are bringing your own kit, you are free to use that instead. In a dry hire, you are responsible for supplying the equipment you need and ensuring everything is recorded correctly, since you are running the technical side yourself.
Self-service is our most common booking, and it is what most people mean by studio hire. You get the room, all of our equipment set up and ready before you arrive, and a full walkthrough covering microphones, levels and camera framing. From there you record the session yourselves.
Audio-only sessions start at £84 per hour and video sessions at £108 per hour, with two 4K cameras, professional lighting, and broadcast audio. No experience is needed; the walkthrough covers everything, and the studios are designed to be simple to run once you are set up. This tier is ideal if you want a fully equipped, broadcast-quality studio and are comfortable recording once you have been shown the ropes.
Full production is for when you want to turn up, focus entirely on the conversation, and leave with a finished episode. It combines audio and video, live mixing and a simple edit, and hands-on technical support from a videographer or sound engineer who runs the session for you. It starts from £200 per hour.
This is the right choice if you would rather not touch the technical side at all, if the recording matters too much to risk running it yourself, or if you simply want an edit-ready episode in your hands rather than raw footage to deal with later.
